Management Quota MBBS Admission
It is compulsory to qualify NEET exam to get admission in any Medical Colleges of India .Criteria is same for Central University/state University, State college, private colleges or deemed University. Although it is possible to get Admission in MBBS with a very low score or just on qualifying the exam but it is not possible without qualifying NEET . Direct Admission to MBBS
Additionally, for confirm admission in MBBS through management quota , you have to pay more than typical educational cost expenses. If I talk about lowest fee per annum colleges on general seat ,that is in Kerala. Eligibility Criteria For MBBS In India
For admission in MBBS, a candidate must score more than 50% in 12th with Medical stream. It is compulsory to qualify NEET UG/AIIMS /JIPMER Entrance Exams. If we talk about NEET UG:
General Category students: 50 % marks than the declared cut-off.
OBC : 45 %
SC/ST : 40 %
If you scored more than cut-off marks, only then you can apply for Government/private Medical colleges offering MBBS admission. The National Testing Agency (NTA) is the conducting authority of NEET entrance exam in 2023.
National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) was conducted on September 12, 2023, in pen and paper (offline) mode. Applicants must have attained the age of 17 years as on December 31,2023 are eligible for NTA NEET UG 2023.
Counselling Procedure For MBBS In India
NEET UG 2023 Counselling Schedule & Admission Procedure for MBBS, BDS Admission is available on the official website of Medical Council Committee. Declaration of NEET UG 2023 Result was declared on 01.11.2023.After declaration of result the first step for counselling process is that all eligible aspirants have to apply for the online application form.
To secure MBBS seat you need to apply for respective counselling departments and get verified your original documents in personally or through online process. Once you have verified your original documents you can apply your MBBS seats under General Quota, NRI PIO Quota or management quota through centralized counselling.
Apply for all India medical Counselling for 15% total MBBS seats in India. Also. Apply for Private medical colleges Counselling in India through directorate of medical education website of your state.
All India Quota Seat Counselling
- 15% of the total seats for MBBS are available under All India Quota.
- Also, some of the seats are reserved for backward class students under 15% AIQ quota seats.
- 15% for SC candidates,
- 7.5% for ST candidates,
- 27% seats as per Central Act are reserved for non-creamy layer OBC candidate
- 5% seats of the seats shall be filled up by candidates with disabilities.

Counseling for for the Under graduate session 2023-22 will be conducted by Medical Counseling Committee/ Directorate General of Health Services, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India. All India Quota seats/ Institutional Quota/ Domicile (internal candidates) of
Central Universities are Aligarh Muslim University/ Banaras Hindu University/ University of Delhi/Faculty of Dentistry, Jamia Millia Islamia.
Similarly for ESIC seats of colleges under ESI and Armed Forces Medical College, Pune the counseling is done by MCC.It is conducted by Director General of Health Services for admission to 15% All India Quota seats.All the aspirants who will qualify NEET UG 2023 will be eligible to participate for 15% (AIQ) seats as per the availability.
The counseling for All India Quota seats is generally in two rounds through online mode. The vacant seats left after two rounds of NEET UG Counseling 2023 for AIQ seats will be transferred to the respective state counseling authorities.
Central Institutions & Deemed Universities Counseling
Counseling for 100% seats in Deemed and Central universities is conducted by DGHS .As per rules and regulations of the concerned University or Institution. Also, DGHS will conduct the counseling for seats reserved for wards of insured persons (IP quota) in Employees’ State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) medical colleges and seats at the Armed Forces Medical College (AFMC), Pune.
The counseling for Deemed and Central universities in three rounds. The first two rounds of seat allotment for AIQ seats, Deemed Medical colleges, and Central Universities will be done together. The mop-up counseling round for Deemed and Central universities will be scheduled in August 2023 held by DGHS.
The MCC will release the college –wise seat matrix which will contain the details of various seats available in medical, dental colleges across the country. The release of the seat matrix will be done before the commencing of the counseling.
To participate in NEET 2023 students have to register themselves .MCC conducts counseling for AIQ, Deemed, and Central universities, who qualify NEET UG 2023.
Counseling For State Quota Medical Seats
For remaining 85% State Quota seats in Government medical, dental colleges and 100% seats in self-financing and private colleges in the states will be conducted by the respective state counseling authorities.
Every state will release its own counseling schedule and online application form for NEET 2023 state counseling.
As per the orders of Supreme Court of India, every state will conduct a common centralized counseling for MBBS, BDS admission in its state. The reservation of the seats in medical colleges for respective categories shall be as per applicable laws prevailing in State, Union territory concerned.
It is mandatory to participate in centralized counseling based on NEET 2023 entrance score for MBBS in India.As per the rule of National Medical commission of India that all Medical admission for 2023 has to be completed through centralized counseling conducted by Directorate of the medical education department of the particular state.
Though the total MBBS seats under NRI/ PIO/ Management quota seats available in counseling have no takers because of high tuition fees. These left seats are surrendered back to private and deemed medical colleges after the mop up counseling is over.
Anyone who has applied for the counseling and completed the verification process can approach the respective colleges for MBBS management quota admission. These surrendered leftover seats are only available in Medical colleges of Karnataka and also in Deemed Medical universities.
