The private medical colleges have few seats reserved for the management quota students. These seats will be filled based on the admission policies of the individual medical college and the fee structure for these seats will also be high compared to the merit admissions. MBBS Management Quota Seats in India
Before NEET was introduced all medical institutions held at least 25% of management quota seats. The introduction of NEET exams by the central government changed everything for the students and medical institutions as well .
After NEET, students aiming for a career in MBBS must clear the NEET exam with appropriate cut-off to sit in the counseling process. Those who cannot acquire merit seats through counseling, the Medical Council Of India allocates management quota seats that are useful in pursuing their path in the medical field. Eligibility of MBBS Admission Through Management Quota
Students looking to get hold of an mbbs admission must fulfill every eligibility criteria defined by Medical Council Of India(MCI) and all students must clear National Entrance Cum Eligibility Test (NEET) to be considered for further process in acquiring a management seat. The eligibility criteria drawn by MCI are stated below.
- Candidates must have 50% marks in physics, chemistry and biology of their higher secondary examination(12th).
- Candidates must be Indian or foreign nationls or non-resident Indian(NRI), Overseas citizen of India or person with Indian origin (PIO).
- It’s important that candidates should appear for NEET and qualify with minimum eligibility.
- All candidates must be at least 17 years of age to be qualified for management quota.

Admission process of MBBS through management quota
The admission process for management quota seats is the same as that of merit seats; the only difference is the fees structure. After qualifying NEET with required percentile the candidate must go through the counseling process with a filled out management quota application with candidate favored and appropriate private institutions. Candidates must keep in mind that in some state counseling there are seats reserved for candidates belonging to that particular state.

Deemed University MBBS Management Quota Admission
The admission process for deemed universities management quota is done by the Medical Counseling Committee (MCC) . Candidates are required to fill all the academic and personal details requested for applying in deemed universities along with preferences of colleges and courses to be undertaken.
After the registrations of candidates the admission process takes place by filtering on the basis of students NEET marks, preference of college and course, reservation criteria, Seat availability and other means.
Deemed university MBBS Admission – Counseling
Candidates must go through the following counseling procedure for management quota admission in deemed universities.
- The counseling process is done in rounds based on filling of seats and availability of seats at the end of each round.
- To participate in the counseling procedure all candidates must be registered in the MCC web portal with required information.
- Based on the provided information on college preference and courses the authorities allot seats.
- The main means on which the allotment takes place are; the candidates NEET score, reservation category and seat availability.
- The vacant seats are up for grabs on the further rounds of counseling for which the one round registered candidates are not required to register again.
- The candidate selected can download their allotment letter and report their respective universities on or before mentioned date and time.

- WIll there be any donation I have to pay?
If you are willing to join the MBBS course through management quota, you have to pay the donation fee to the institution in addition to your education cost.
- Will there be any extra charges other than the tuition fee?
Yes, the students joining the medical education through management quota have to bear their extra donation fee. The fee may vary between INR 60,000 to 2,00,00 per annum.
- Is there any possibility to grant direct MBBS admission without NEET?
In India, as per the MCI rules, the student has to clear the NEET exam to pursue their MBBS course. Even in the management quota admission the student must have cleared the NEET exam with required percentile.
- How many MBBS seats are reserved for the management quota admission?
All private and deemed institutions hold on to 15% seats for the management quota admissions. Thus students who have missed their chance in the direct interview can apply for the management quota seats.
- How do I apply for the MBBS management quota seat?
If you have qualified the NEET exam but are not able to get a seat in the counseling, you can directly approach the medical college of your choice and proceed with the college admission policy. The students must be aware of the fee structure before applying for the colleges.
