DSCE Admission Process

DSCE B.E. admissions follow the Karnataka Engineering Admissions (KEA) centralised counselling framework under VTU norms. Two main routes exist: KCET for Karnataka-domicile candidates and COMEDK UGET for candidates from all states. Management quota is the third route for direct admission.

B.E. via KCET (Karnataka Domicile)

KCET is conducted by KEA every April for Karnataka-domicile students. DSCE KCET code is E007.

☐ Eligibility: 10+2 PCM with one of Chemistry, Biotechnology, Biology, CS, or Electronics and minimum 45% aggregate (40% for SC/ST/OBC)

☐ Entrance: KCET (Karnataka Common Entrance Test)

☐ Selection: KCET rank-based web counselling on KEA portal. Candidates select DSCE (E007) during option entry.

KCET 2026 closing ranks for General category CSE at DSCE typically fall in the range of 18,000 to 35,000 in KCET rank

B.E. via COMEDK UGET (All States)

COMEDK UGET is an all-India private engineering entrance exam for admission to Karnataka private colleges. DSCE COMEDK code is E040.

☐ Eligibility: 10+2 PCM with minimum 45% aggregate

☐ Entrance: COMEDK UGET (conducted annually in May)

☐ Selection: COMEDK rank-based online counselling at comedk.org. DSCE application fee: INR 1,800.

Management Quota Admission

Management quota seats at DSCE are available for 2026-27. No separate entrance exam is conducted. Candidates must have a minimum 50% in PCM with individual subject passes and a valid KCET, COMEDK, or JEE Main score.
