Indira Gandhi Delhi Technical University for Women(IGDTUW) is a state university established in 1998. It is an autonomous women’s technical university. The campus is located in New Delhi’s Kashmere Gate. It is graded ‘A+’ by NAAC. According to the 2025 NIRF rankings, it is ranked 201-300, and India Today ranked it 115th in the B.Tech category.

IGDTUW offers 32 full-time courses in B.Tech, B.Arch, BBA, MCA, B.Tech + MBA, M.Tech, M.Plan (Urban Planning), PhD, B.Sc + M.Sc, and MBA, and 10 part-time courses in PhD. Admission is strictly based on the national-level entrance exam.

The Department of Management, established in 2019 under the Faculty of Business Studies, aims to be globally recognised as a leader in management education and a centre of excellence. It offers education grounded in ethical and human values, tailored to the evolving needs of professionals, society, industry, and the nation.

The Department focuses on providing women in India with a conducive learning environment to tackle changing challenges, fostering continuous innovation, learning, and developing entrepreneurial skills. Since its inception, the Department has offered a BBA program and, from the 2020-21 academic year, a two-year full-time MBA program has been offered to meet the industry’s demand for management graduates with technical expertise.

IGDTUW MBA Eligibility Criteria 2026

Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree with at least 60% marks (55% for SC and ST candidates). A valid CAT 2025 or MAT 2025/2026 score is required to apply through CMAC.

Selection Criteria 2027

Final admission merit is a composite score. CAT or MAT percentile carries 70% weightage. The Personal Interview carries 30% weightage.

Candidates meeting the minimum percentile cutoff are shortlisted for the PI round.
PI is conducted in person at the designated campus.
Final seat allotment at IGDTUW is done through CMAC counselling rounds.
IGDTUW’s 75 MBA seats are part of the shared CMAC pool of 420 seats across DTU, NSUT, and IGDTUW.

IGDTUW vs DTU vs NSUT

Below is the comparison between IGDTUW, NSUT, and DTU. Opportunities are significantly better at DTU, and more businesses come here.
