MHT CET is considered at par with JEE Mains in terms of overall difficulty level and subjects. MHT CET 2024 question papercomprises 2 papers carrying 100 marks each. For PCM, the first paper is Mathematics while for PCB, there is Biology. Paper 2 is common for both PCB and PCM- Physics and Chemistry. You are provided with 3 hours to complete the examination.

  • There is no negative marking in MHT CET exam.
  • There are 150 questions in the PCM exam and 200 questions in the PCB exam.

Qualifying ExamCandidates should have passed a 10+2 or equivalent examination from a recognised board/university with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. Candidates appearing in the qualifying examination are also eligible to apply and have minimum MHT CET passing marks PCB.
Qualifying Exam Marks 12th percentage required for MHT CET and candidates must have 45% MHT CET minimum passing marks in their 10+2 or equivalent examination. However, the MHT CET qualifying marks for engineering mark for reserved category candidates is 40%.

How many months are required to prepare for MHT CET exam?

The time-period required to complete the MHT CET preparation varies. Every student has their own pace of study. Ideally, 3-month time is good enough for completing the MHT CET preparation.

Students who have started preparing from class 11 or 12 can easily prepare for MHT CET in 6 months considering the topics of CET syllabus have already been studied in class 11 and 12.

MHT CET preparation is most effective with class 11 and 12 as almost 90-95 percent topics are similar in both exams.

This way students can easily complete the entire MHT CET syllabus as well as syllabus of class 11 and 12. After the board exams, students get 2-3 month time where they can focus entirely on MHT CET.

Students who have started late for the MHT CET exam can make a 6-month plan where in the first three months they have to focus on revising the syllabus studied in class 11 and 12.

In the next two months’ focus on solving questions of MHT CET and analyzing the mistakes being made, if any. The last one month should be focused on solving mock tests and MHT CET previous year question papers
